The BlackMatch Racing Team

BlackMatch Racing is a yacht racing team consisting of Adam Minoprio, Nick Blackman, Dave Sweete and Tom Powrie.  We are all graduates of the Royal New Zealand Youth Training Programme.  Upon finishing the training programme we decided to further our sailing by forming "BlackMatch Racing".  Since our establishment in 2005 we have competed mainly in Australasian events due to university and work commitments.  However, with the completion of these we can now dedicate ourselves full time to sailing.  The major focus of the team is primarily match racing but we plan to take part in other racing classes as well.

The long term goal of the team is to win the World Match Racing tour.  This year we plan to base ourselves in Europe competing in as many grade 1,2,and 3 match racing events as possible to gain a higher world ranking.
